Mainland China is now even more accessible from Hong Kong.

As reported earlier this year, Hong Kong's new high speed 'bullet train' will make travel options between the mainland and the island much easier, opening up new options for groups. It made its maiden voyage on Sunday 23rd September 2018, from West Kowloon Station, in central Hong Kong, to the Chinese City of Guangzhou in under 49 mins, a fraction of the two hours the previous journey would take. There will be access to 44 mainline stations in China, including Beijing and Shanghai.

Also scheduled to open later this year is a $20 billion bridge, linking Hong Kong to Macau making it the world's longest sea bridge (55km). The bridge will cut journey times between cities from 3 hours to just 30 minutes!
